  • Position Summary:
  • We are seeking a visionary and strategic
  • Director of Design Engineering
  • to lead our multidisciplinary design engineering team.

This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring design excellence, and delivering high-quality, manufacturable products that meet customer needs and business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering, combined with a passion for leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • + •Leadership & Strategy•+ Lead and mentor a team of design engineers across multiple disciplines.

+ Define and execute the design engineering strategy aligned with company goals. + Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence. +

  • Project Oversight
  • + Oversee the design and development of new products from concept through production. + Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance and quality standards. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. +
  • Technical Excellence
  • + Drive best practices in design processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g., DFM, DFA, FMEA, CAD/CAE). + Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications. + Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. +
  • Process Improvement
  • + Continuously improve design workflows and engineering standards. + Implement metrics to track team performance and product quality. + Champion the use of simulation, prototyping, and testing to validate designs.
  • Qualifications:
  • + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or related field).

+ 10+ years of experience in design engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. + Proven track record of leading complex product development projects. + Strong knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) and PLM systems. + Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. + Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive) is a plus.
