Remote Compressor Design Engineer (Analysis Focus) Position Available In Greenville, South Carolina

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Remote Compressor Design Engineer (Analysis Focus) to join their client based out of Greenville, South Carolina. The design engineer is focused around the analysis of turbine components and presenting in design reviews. Responsibilities and tasks will vary based on project & scope, but is the role requires building 2D and 3D finite element models in Ansys of Gas Turbine components. The design reviews requires running through the below:

• Running structural, modal or forced response analysis (with thermal and mechanical loads)
• Component Lifiing (LCF, GCF, creep, Fracture)
• Post-processing of modal results (frequency / Campbell diagram)

• Rotor Post Processing :

  joint behavior, strength & burst

• Support of component owner of hardware to be designed or modified
• Work with drafting, sourcing & manufacturing
• Coordinate interfaces across Aero, Heat Transfer, and Materials into the Design Teams Additionally, the engineers will be building & de-bugging ANSYS models, documenting lessons learned and best practices, along with host processing.

Engineer should have the ability to run missions, post process and summarize results for 2D & 3D designs. Candidate will likely start out with design process, CTQs and standard post processing tools, then, the move on to executing on fielded or new design and post results.
