Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes. This role provides technical support for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
Job Duties:
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production goals. Evaluate and improve existing methods to ensure safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Analyze workforce utilization, workspace layout, and equipment placement to improve efficiency. Collaborate with production teams to ensure alignment between product design and manufacturability. Interface with customers to define product specifications and address design changes. Estimate production time, labor needs, and associated costs to support planning and decision-making. Apply statistical analysis to forecast manufacturing needs and identify potential issues. Coordinate cross-functional teams to support production schedules and resolve process challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent training/experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience. Basic experience in
CAD, PLC
programming, and testing tools. Skills in manufacturing simulations, troubleshooting, process diagnostics, and team leadership. Experience with automation and design for assembly (dfA) preferred. Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical tools. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
