Manufacturing Engineer (2nd & 3rd Shift) 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Spartanburg, SC 29303 HTI is seeking a process focused Manufacturing Engineer with a Tier 1 automotive supplier and one of the largest employee-owned companies in North America. With the new facility in Spartanburg, SC now operational, this position will be focused on daily operations of the BIW plant. This position is Direct Hire , M-F 2 nd & 3rd shift (2 nd : 130PM-930PM / 3 rd : 930PM-530AM) . The pay range is $85,000 – $100,000 depending on experience.

What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent experience) with a solid understanding of automated assembly and BIW (Body-in-White) processes. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing principles, and cell layout design to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness on the production floor. Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Plexus ERP, with proven ability to analyze product dimensional data and apply GD&T standards. Hands-on skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and job documentation (job element sheets, standard work), with a proactive mindset to identify and implement process improvements. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Priorities include process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training. Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment. Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment. Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results. Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Creates and maintains job elements sheets and standard work sheets. Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement. Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams. Leads and supports lean manufacturing initiatives, including, cost reductions and productivity improvements. About HTI Human Technologies, Inc.
