However, as a global company,MAHLE offers many job opportunities outside of the U.S. which canbe found through our employment website www.jobs.mahle.com YourContribution As a Manufacturing Engineer reporting to theMurfreesboro Head of Supervisors, you will be responsible forresearching, developing, evaluating and improving new and existingmanufacturing processes and parameters. The focus will be onoptimizing processes that match the tooling, equipment and facilityand provide efficient, cost-effective processes that utilizeoperators and/or robotics in a manufacturing operation.

This roleis responsible to:

Work with program management team members inorder to meet program timing.

This will include the following:

Develop new equipment run-off criteria. Develop training packagefor new equipment. Add new equipment to asset list. Update PMrequirements on new equipment. Update spare parts list. Developtrial plans and support all trials. Create equipment removal formif necessary. Develop set up / parameter worksheet. Review lessonslearned. Participate in product launch customer visits. Developprocesses and troubleshoot manufacturing process problems includinginternal and external complaints. Reduce scrap and improveefficiency and cycle times for assigned processes. Develop andcomplete continuous improvement projects to meet cost savingstargets. Develop and write equipment specifications, performancerequirements, cost analysis, and RFQ for integrating injectionmolding machinery and equipment into manufacturing process. Assistin training supervisors, leads, operators and maintenance staff inthe safe and proper usage of equipment and tooling. Work to improveequipment changeovers, SMED. Writes/updates equipment check sheets,operating standards and keeps master documents on file. Conferswith management, engineering and other staff regardingmanufacturing capabilities, production schedules and otherconsiderations to facilitate the manufacturing/injection moldingprocesses. Reviews manufacturing strategy on new productquotations. Your Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inmanufacturing or mechanical engineering or related field from anaccredited four-year college or university. 5 years engineering orrelated experience in plastic molding & assembly. Manufacturingindustry experience required; Automotive Manufacturing preferred.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, includingGD&T. Participate and assist with Lean and ContinuousImprovement Workshops (Kaizen). Data analysis, problem solving,process and troubleshooting skills.
