As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in the medical device sector, you will play a pivotal role in improving and developing manufacturing methods to produce high-quality medical device products. Working under the mentorship of the Manufacturing Engineering Director, you will contribute to the development of new processes, introduction of new products, cost reduction projects, and capital justifications for new equipment. You will help transform the manufacturing environment. •This position does not offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future•What you will be doing? Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes. Provide technical expertise and support for fixing and resolving manufacturing-related issues. Lead equipment installation and validation activities: User Requirement Specifications (URS), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ) , Validation Report Approval (VRA) Drive capital projects, from financial justifications through project execution. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability. Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address manufacturing issues and non-conformances. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality and reliability. Facilitate new product introduction and support design transfer work, collaborating with multi-functional teams. Work with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products, conduct investigations, identify corrective and preventive actions, and support material disposition in collaboration with the Quality group. Support the transfer of manufacturing processes and products to internal or external manufacturing sites, including validation activities and process documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and validation reports, in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, providing documentation and support as needed to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop Process Maps, process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and other risk analysis tools. Demonstrate courage in proposing and implementing new insights, driving them to completion. Support and guide junior engineers and manufacturing personnel to foster their professional development and uphold quality standards. What you need to be successful? Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Master of Science in Engineering is a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience with a master’s degree, Knowledge in CNC machining, metal finishing processes, additive manufacturing, and/or passivation systems is desired. Material experience/knowledge with manufacturing using various materials including Titanium, Cobalt Chrome, Stainless Steels, and medical-grade plastics is desired. Experience in project management and success in implementing projects required. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with process characterization, analysis, control, and validation using statistical tools and Six Sigma methodologies.
