Job Overview:

We are seeking a Paint Rack Changer to support the efficient operation of the paint line in our automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for removing, replacing, and maintaining paint racks, ensuring proper alignment and organization to facilitate smooth production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and safety-conscious, with experience in manufacturing or paint line operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Remove and replace paint racks to maintain continuous operation of the paint line. Ensure racks are properly aligned and secured to prevent defects and ensure efficient paint application. Inspect racks for buildup, damage, or wear, and replace or clean them as needed. Work closely with paint line operators, production associates, and quality inspectors to maintain smooth workflow. Assist in cleaning and maintaining racks, removing excess paint and ensuring proper function. Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for rack changeovers. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe handling of racks and painted components. Adhere to safety regulations, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures. Communicate any issues or inefficiencies with supervisors and maintenance teams to prevent disruptions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in manufacturing, automotive production, or paint line operations preferred. Ability to lift, move, and handle racks weighing up to 20lbs multiple times per shift. Strong attention to detail to ensure racks are properly installed and aligned. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Basic understanding of paint line processes and quality standards is a plus. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work overtime and different shifts as needed. Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials. Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Full-time, with potential for overtime based on production needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends.
