ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will work in various areas using various industrialequipment to provide a smooth and safe operation. Technicians maintain a rotating shift schedule.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Ensure safe practices including lock-out, tag-out, try-out,confined space, hot work permits, utilization of appropriate PPE,perform safety hazard checks, correct and eliminate safetyhazards. Ensure compliance with ISO environmental and quality standards,and housekeeping. Maintain high work standards. Ability to operate various heavy equipment. Will be required to learn how to operate a gantry crane forunloading vessels caring fuels and raw materials Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate correctiveactions. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all workenvironments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibitthese behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education:
High School diploma/
GED Required Work Experience:
2-4 years industrial experience,preferred 5-10 years experience.
Travel Requirements:
Less than 10%
Required Computer and Software Skills:
Basic computer skills
Additional Requirements:
A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturingprocess is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Strong communication/interpersonal skills Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols andproper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment(“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees thatare required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where therespirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative andquantitative fit tests.
