Paint Line Technician/ Kitting Specialist As a Powder Coat Technician/Kitting Specialist, you will be responsible for the operation of the powder coating process and ensuring the highest quality finishes on our products. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge.
Hours :
6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as directed) Key Roles & Responsibilities Set up and operate powder coating equipment. Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking. Coordinate with production managers and quality assurance personnel to address any issues related to the paint line and product quality. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on paint line machinery to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. Accurately pick and kit parts from inventory according to work orders and production schedules. Verify kit accuracy by checking part numbers, quantities, and quality standards. Communicate any inventory discrepancies or shortages to the inventory control team. Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs. Work at a pace consistent with job production and QC standards. Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned as required. Skills and experience Previous experience in paint line operations and/or inventory kitting. Strong understanding of paint application techniques, equipment, materials, and inventory control processes. Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work under pressure. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing physically demanding repetitive job tasks. Capable of working in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures and potential exposure to different conditions. Attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to work in a team environment and neatness are essential skills for this position.
