We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Protein Bar Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and consistent production of our protein bars, adhering to strict quality, safety, and nutritional standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food manufacturing and a strong understanding of production processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain food processing and packaging equipment used in protein bar production (e.g., mixers, extruders, ovens, cooling tunnels, coating machines, wrapping machines). Follow established recipes, formulas, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Monitor production processes, including temperature, pressure, and other variables, to ensure product consistency and quality. Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues or malfunctions with production equipment to minimize downtime. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery. Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and hygiene protocols. Maintain detailed and accurate production records, including machine settings, production volumes, and quality control measures. Collaborate effectively with team members, including Quality Assurance and Production Supervisors, to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Assist with sanitation procedures for equipment and workspaces as scheduled.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a food manufacturing or production environment, specifically with experience in bar, confectionery, or bakery production preferred. Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills for operating and maintaining processing equipment. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and recipes. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40-50 lbs occasionally. Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation. Willingness to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, weekends, or different shifts as required by production demands.
