JOB SUMMARY:
The
CRANIAL GRIND & BUFF TECHNICIAN
maintains the flow of product shells in accordance with FDA, Regulatory and Quality procedures.
Shift:
M-F 7:30am-4:00pm
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform all duties in accordance with FDA, Regulatory and Quality procedures. Inspect product shells received from the oven area for defects. Buff the product shells to a smooth finish. Grind plastic to trim line on product shells to meet product specifications. Product shells that are not acceptable are logged down on product scrap log. Ensure that the product shells are sent to the production areas in a timely manner to maintain the flow of product through the warehouse. Check with the supervisor to see which product shells have priority. Check Grinder/Buffer machines to make sure it is working properly. Report any problems with the machines to the supervisor and maintenance. Log in/out work orders in accordance with the order tracker system. Keep a clean and safe work environment according to company/safety rules. Ability to read, write and understand English language.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
May be asked to work other production areas when needed. Will be cross-trained to work in other areas. May be required to work overtime when necessary. The ability to work overtime is considered an essential job requirement. Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
Required to have a close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as ones by carpenters, technicians, service, people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
