Job Description
PRODUCTION / SOLDERER TECHNICIAN DITEK
Surge Protection Largo, FL 33771 The Solderer Technician is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing process by assembling electronic components, using soldering equipment, and ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our electronics devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, solder, and test products in accordance with approved processes and procedures. Safely operate equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively across workstations to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Rotate through multiple stations and operate various machines to ensure smooth workflow. Perform complex assemblies, including fine pitch SMT/BGA soldering, rework, and testing, as per production schedules. Build Engineering prototypes and new design concepts, supporting Engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for solderability. Train and mentor Assembler I, II, and III employees.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the manufacturing and rework of Printed Circuit Assemblies, especially complex assemblies, is preferred. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of IPC Class 2 & 3 standards, component identification, and ESD practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Proficiency in process improvement, troubleshooting assembly problems, and support of new technologies. Demonstrated hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Familiarity with tools, devices, and calibrated equipment used in assembly. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to safely perform job functions without posing a threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
