We are looking for a Highly Skilled Manufacturing Equipment Operator to ensure our production can keep up with our fast-paced growth. Overview Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience operating manufacturing equipment, and be able to handle basic maintenance or repairs.
Our manufacturing equipment includes:
Vermeer Diesel Grinders West Salem Electric Grinders Amadas and Muller Packaging Systems Komptech Electric Screens Trommel Electric Sorters Precision Shaker Decks Sahara Colorings Custom Convers Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation :
Keeping our production machines operating at high volume. Initially this position will operate coloring machine and process.
System Inspections :
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Mechanical Systems :
Maintain or repair basic mechanical components to maintain equipment efficiency.
Collaboration :
Work closely with production and service teams to coordinate maintenance schedules, minimizing disruptions to processing operations.
Safety Compliance :
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all plant personnel.
Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of production activities, repairs, and service, providing reports to management as needed.
Continuous Improvement :
Suggest improvements to equipment and processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Qualifications Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or processing environment. Experience with equipment or similar machinery listed above is a plus.
Skills :
: A Strong record of understanding and exceeding production goals. . Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical/mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and practices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a dusty, outdoor environment typical of mulch processing plants.
Certifications :
Forklift certification, OSHA training, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Other :
Reliable transportation Work Environment The role involves working on site at a mulch processing plant, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. The candidate must be comfortable working with heavy machinery and adhering to strict safety protocols. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to support production schedules or emergency repairs.
