Job Summary:
The Line Operator is responsible for operating, threading and supplying the tunnel and accumulator. Additional, the Line Operator patrols and monitors the running of the machines for the production of the desired packages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Make sure there are no stop marks in the accumulator or coming down the belt. Keep machine creeled Doff off winder Put ends back when winder breaks out Put correct labels on cones Keep work area clean, empty trash, clean winder, and floor Make lube for machines Check for the difference in color on dyed yarn Check color and identify with correct doff information Help fix creel breaks Pull stop marks when the machine stops Help other line operators keep all machinery running All other duties as assigned by management Performance Expectations (if applicable): Must be able to lift 15 pounds to creel for most of your shift and walk to and from the winder/creel. Must be able to bend down and stand to reach post and tubes of creel racks ranging from 1′ to 6.5′ high throughout the entire shift. Must be able to push a cart loaded with yarn weighing up to 450lbs.
