Lab Technician

REPORTS TO

Plant Manager HOURS:

Monday-Friday 5am-1pm or 10am-6:30pm; hours may vary depending on work load.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the coating operations by monitoring chemical levels in pre-wash and e-coat tanks, adjusting chemicals as required, conducting titrations, changing filters, starting up, or closing down system, and entering data into the computer. This is a hands-on position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts all pretreatment testing and maintains system. Conducts testing of E-coat system and makes adjustments. Retrieves and ships weekly and monthly samples for outside analysis. Conducts physical property testing as required to ensure system integrity. Maintains filing system of all QA documentation to include, but not limited to, drawings, internal and external test reports, training documents, work instructions, etc. Provides work orders to Maintenance Department for any required maintenance, repairs or inspections of system, as deemed necessary.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Current or previous experience in waste water; waste water certificate preferred. Good communication skills. Experience in a manufacturing lab.
