The Lab Tech must use internal procedures and ASTM methods, along with good laboratory technique, to analyze samples. The Lab Tech also performs SQC analysis, along with other quality checks, to ensure equipment is performing properly and that the results reported are accurate and representative of the sample. The Lab Technician must assist the Chemists in managing the samples that come in during the shift, and ensure they are properly analyzed in the correct priority, efficiently. This position is critical to the company as it ensures the quality of the fluid packaged/sold. Required Skills Strong time management and organizational skills Basic laboratory skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Self-starter with strong initiative Moderate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software Ability to read and understand ISO procedures and ASTM Methods Experience working effectively in team environments Physical Requirements Must be willing to work all three shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed, along with overtime Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time Ability to lift and pull up to 35 lbs Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Some college coursework preferred Experience working in a QC Laboratory preferred
