Full Job Description Job Overview:

Under direction of facility management, the Production Technician will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in the production facility. The Production Technician will be responsible for operating a steam-methane reforming (SMR) facility while meeting all safety, environmental, corporate, efficiency and production requirements.

Responsibilities:

Obtain knowledge required to operate and troubleshoot the various types of equipment associated with Steam Methane Reformers. Top fired heater Reactors High pressure steam system Pressure swing adsorption unit. Pumps and compressors Analytical equipment Drums and knockout pots Cooling water system Instrument air system. Flare operations. H2 Product delivery Monitor the Process. This includes making rounds, completing reading sheets, water sampling and ensuring environmental permit limit and process limits are adhered to. Learn how to identify hazards, safe out equipment, and write safe work permits. Learn the importance of Housekeeping. Field Qualify at one of the SMR Facilities.

Qualifications:

Effectively communicate with fellow operators, technicians, engineers, and managers Adhere to all Corporate and Plant policies. Maintain the highest degree of personal safety, and environmental accountability at all-times. Maintain high standards of housekeeping. Participate in daily and monthly safety and production meetings. Strong mechanical aptitude. Willingness to progress into a process operator position. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to work from heights.
