Efficiently set-up, operate and perform preventative maintenance to the interfolding equipment in accordance with manufacturing orders (MO) and the production schedule. Compliance with company operating, safety and housekeeping procedures, practices, and policies.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
High school or trade school graduate or equivalent GED with 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred. Excellent mechanical ability and manual dexterity. Ability to read and understand Manufacturing Orders (MO), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and use common machine measuring equipment. Basic reading and math skills. Good communication skills.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Set-up, operate and adjust interfold equipment to manufacturing order (MO), Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and to production schedule requirements. Inspect product for size, appearance, count and other requirements to ensure that the product meets quality specifications. Perform preventative and production maintenance for routine repairs by utilizing hand and power tools. Utilizes lubricants on machinery as needed. Understand and interpret production requirements by manufacturing orders (MO) as well as written and verbal instructions. Organize work area in a clean and efficient manner to perform processes according to established standards, productivity levels, housekeeping, and safety requirements. Helps set-up Log Cutter, End-load Cartoner, Case Erector, Taper, and Labeling Equipment. Inform supervisor of operating deviations or mechanical problems when they occur. Follow all safety guidelines and regulations outlined in the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Other duties as assigned.
MANUFACTURING ENVIROMENT
Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene and cleanliness is strictly enforced. Applicants must be able to engage in periods of long standing and walking, and perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Range:
$18.00•$19.00 hourly, consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
