Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production equipment, and other process related equipment. Applies principles and theories of mechanical and electromechanical repair and testing.
Responsible for maintaining facilities including buildings, lights, HVAC, compressed air systems, parking lots, and other facility equipment. Operates hand and bench drills, mills, lathes, grinding wheels, welders or other machine tools to fabricate parts.
Checks functioning of equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
Set-ups, maintains and/or calibrates equipment on a regular or as needed basis. Assembles, disassembles, modifies, inspects and reworks various production equipment. •Works with others to streamline process flow and reduce waste.
•Assists in the development and documentation of procedures.
Promotes company safety policies, workmanship standards and operational procedures among team members while displaying strong quality consciousness at all times. Keeps supervisor informed of any situations that may be detrimental to production, quality, or safety goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a manufacturing technician within a consumer goods environment.
Certification requirements: Natural gas
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in effectively troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems.
Demonstrates a broad understanding of production processes. Demonstrated skills and abilities in mechanical dexterity, assembly, manufacturing, soldering, and inspection. Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical electronics processes and procedures.
Skills in reading, understanding and adhering to engineering drawings, documents and procedures.
Ability to function as a team while completing multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision. Take initiative to aid fellow employees to smooth overall process flow.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to recognize equipment/tooling malfunctions to detect irregular or deficient product.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to drive to corrective actions with minimal supervision.
