Extrusion Technician JM Eagle – 3.1 Columbia, MO Job Details $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1 year Manufacturing Entry level Full Job Description SUMMARY An Extruder Operator is assigned to a specific line/lines or work area on a production shift. He or she is responsible for the efficient operation of the production equipment and required to perform the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In the various levels of this position you will be required to learn and understand detailed information about the following areas: General Plant Management Safety, THM, Standard Tools, and Documentation Completed Product Processes Forklifts, Overhead Cranes, Packaging/Stacking, and managing Packaging Supplies How to handle non-conforming product Scrap, Unusual Circumstances, and the Call System Equipment that will be used as part of the Extrusion process Extruder/Die, Vacuum Tanks/Spray Tanks, Puller, Printer, Saw, Stick Table/Cart, & Coiler Quality Inspection and Product Types Pipe Inspection Techniques and Product Identification Job Duties include the following: Maintain operation of multiple lines including packaging end product for shipment Observe all operational and safety procedures Maintain all documentation required and barcode system for production reporting Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area Prepare packaging materials Move bundled pipe from work area and document completed bundles (scrap and good product) Operate a forklift truck safely and inspect fork trucks as instructed. Visually inspect product for quality assurance purposes Measure and record pipe dimensions as directed Report the need for any adjustments on printing equipment Report any equipment malfunctions, product defects or unsafe conditions immediately Assist in production line start-up activities and changeovers Cut and band scrap as directed Other duties as assigned by Supervisors and/or Manager Sample list of daily activities: Perform required testing during the shift to verify product quality Leave samples in a designated area for Quality Assurance (QA) department to verify and record results. Inspects product for specification Check print against the spec sheet. Measure and record product Outside Diameter (OD) and Ovality every hour Measure and record the T-wall every hour ( 8 point) Measure and record all other required specs. (Length, etc.) Visually inspect all units and verify product quality before taking them to the 24-hour drop area. Complete all required paperwork and bar coding required for production reporting Maintain constant observation of machine conditions. Check machine conditions against Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Report all oil, water, and air leaks Report any unsafe conditions Clean-up immediately after any abnormal production. Keep all dunnage areas clean and organized Sweep and maintain saw area. Production priorities Safety/THM Quality Production output Scrap
