Shield Line Operator:
Starkville, MS. Pay is $19.01/hr. plus $1 night shift premium. 7PM-7AM.
Knowledge/Skills:
Common hand/measurement tools
Interpret PO’s and pre-plan jobs/shift priorities
Meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements
Identify preferred take up reels
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the line, including inspecting reels for damage, loading/unloading reels on a continual basis, making hook splices, maintaining the correct overlap, reading and interpreting bill of materials on production orders, verifying print, providing accurate outer diameter checks, providing inspection of shielded product and having knowledge of upcoming jobs. Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly. Working Conditions
Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods. Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper techniques to lift up to 45 pounds. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments normally found in a prefabricated building without climate-control. The hopper vacuums, motors, air-wipes and other machinery can be quite noisy. Education
