SUMMARYA

lead operator oversees output, specifications, and overall quality, works with operators and renders aid in packaging and housekeeping. The Lead Operator assumes the Supervisor role for the shift in the absence of the regular Supervisor.

Perform all duties and responsibilities required of A, B, and C OperatorsGauge when the line is hot and ready to startMake heat adjustments on extruder for quality pipeMaintain INK JET printers and select correct printGive breaks to line operators in his area of responsibilityResponsible for Production Pre-Start Checklist and start up a line from start to finish in a timely manner with end results of quality productKeep all tooling put up in correct placeSets a premier example to others as to safe work habits, attitude, and company goalsSelect proper silo and material for productDuties are not limited to this job description; you may perform other duties as instructed by the SupervisorSupport all company policies, goals, and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED Equivalent

LANGUAGE

SKILLSAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable English words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL

SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING

ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
