Manufacturing Equipment Technician, compressed days,
RTP North Carolina Job Purpose:
Repair, maintain, and continuous improvement of semiconductor processing equipment within a cleanroom environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Executes all aspects of operation, repair, trouble shooting, preventive maintenance, adjustments, rebuilding, and modifications to insure proper operation and maximum up time of various types of processing equipment with little or no supervision. Assists Engineering in commissioning new fabrication equipment. Uses various test and diagnostic equipment to trouble-shoot and repair systems. Maintains necessary records, reports, calibrations, parts inventory-reordering parts. Leads or assists in the investigation and resolution of equipment related process problems. Proactively drives safe practices within the factory, supports and follows site safety policies. Works in clean room environment wearing clean room garments. Communicates day-to-day events, direction, and repairs both written and verbally, through logs and pass downs. Excels within a changing environment while working with others in a positive and cooperative manner to meet common goals and objectives in support of production and engineering. Positively influences and supports others to succeed in their roles. Some travel for external training is required as needed. May be required to work additional hours off the normal shift schedule in support of business needs, hard downs, and site shutdowns.
Key Competencies Required:
Technical training in electronics, mechanics, automation, controls.2-year degree preferred. Good written and verbal skills, good keyboard and computer skills are essential. Familiarity with handling hazardous materials such as gases and chemicals. Demonstrated involvement in improvement projects. High degree of machine knowledge to the component level. Mentor/Trainer/Leader.
Previous Relevant Work Experience:
7+ years of experience with similar responsibilities in in a semiconductor fab.
Minimum Qualifications:
Read, interpret, troubleshoot from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Able to work on a 12-hour shift. Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs., works in awkward positions as necessary, walks, stands, or sits for extended periods. Able to work and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently. Willing and able to become a member of the Emergency Response Team.
