OperationsTechnician Job Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance & Safety :

Safely work with electrical systems, following safety rules and using the right safety gear (PPE).

Equipment Inspection & Repair :

Check equipment to find problems, and fix or replace parts to keep everything running smoothly.

Electrical Installations & Welding :

Install electrical parts like switches, receptacles, and breakers. If you have welding experience, you may also weld to repair or modify equipment.

Preventive Maintenance :

Help set up programs to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend the life of machines.

Safety Walkthroughs :

Walk through the work area regularly to spot any maintenance or safety issues.

Record Keeping & Communication :

Keep track of maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment status. Let your supervisor and team know about your work and any potential issues.

Handling Hazardous Materials :

Safely work with dangerous materials like sulfuric acid and lead.

Problem-Solving & Improvement :

Find ways to improve work processes, machine efficiency, and solve problems with little supervision.

Teamwork :

Work well with others and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Battery Assembly :

Place cells and install other components into a steel container to make a complete battery, following blueprint drawings.

Machine Operation :

Operate semi-automatic equipment and perform general machine operator functions.

Production Efficiency :

Perform to machine standard run rates while minimizing scrap and waste.

Quality Control :

Perform accurate and timely quality checks according to the machine checklist, and take corrective actions if noncompliant products are found.

Continuous Improvement :

Look for and suggest ways to improve work, line efficiency, and machine performance.

Safety Compliance :

Follow all safety policies, participate in the plant’s safety program, and be proactive with safety concerns.

Physical Requirements:

Lift, push, or pull up to 65 pounds occasionally. Stand and walk for long periods. Bend, twist, and kneel safely and efficiently. Adapt to a fast-paced work environment and change tasks often. Sit at a computer for extended periods if needed.

Basic Requirements:
Legal Eligibility :

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (no sponsorship available).

Education :

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Dependability :

Strong attendance and reliability are important.

Skills :

Ability to operate electrical equipment, basic math, reading, and writing skills. Basic computer knowledge.

Safety :

Know and follow Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.

Work Schedule :

First shift position (times may change depending on the work needs). Be available for overtime, early or late shifts if needed.

PPE :

Be able to wear required safety gear.

Background Check :

Pass a background check and drug test.

Problem-Solving & Independence :

Able to work independently and solve problems.

Teamwork & Communication :

Ability to work with others and communicate clearly with all levels of the team.

English :

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Preferred Skills:
Manufacturing Experience :

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.

Electrical Expertise :

Experience working with high voltage systems, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical installations.

Diagnostic Skills :

Ability to fix and maintain machinery and equipment.

Technical Reading :

Able to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.

Welding Skills :

Welding experience is a plus. Shift Description Primarily 1st shift. Applicant must be willing to work over time and occasionally on 2nd shift to meet the needs of the production line.
