Job responsibilities:
- Look into tasks and issues as they come up.
- Investigate production problems, figure out the root cause, and help put corrective/preventative actions in place.
- Keep an eye on manufacturing workflows and resources and suggest ways to improve them.
- Handle and update all the necessary paperwork for manufacturing processes.
- Take steps to prevent waste and make production more efficient.
- Suggest and help implement ways to improve safety, quality, and cut costs.
- Assist with setting up and starting new production systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production delays or issues.
- Carry out OPEX activities when assigned.
- Work with the Process and Engineering team on experiments (DOEs).
- Make sure manufacturing processes follow safety and environmental rules.
- Help improve production, processes, and train team members.
- Handle tasks related to Change Control and Corrective/Preventive Actions.
- Participate in validation activities within the department.
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints.
- Train and qualify production staff.
- Stay informed on new engineering trends by attending trade shows, researching new tech, and reviewing supplier capabilities.
- Take care of other tasks as needed.
Job requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate degree in an industrial-related field is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and fabrication methods; knowledge of injection molding or high-throughput automated assembly is a bonus.
