We are currently looking for an entrylevel manufacturing technician (operator) to join our Elkin, NC OSBteam. We offer excellent wages. S tarting pay is $20.25 – $24.43per hour depending on manufacturing experience, and benefit packagewhich includes paid vacation, 401K plan, life insurance options aswell as medical, dental, and vision coverage. Medical premiumsrange from $26.47 per month to $70.60 per month. Weyerhaeusercovers 96% of insurance cost. Key Functions Commitment to workingsafely and following all safety rules and regulations Responsiblefor safely operating equipment and maintaining a clean work areaInterpreting work instructions adequately and successfullycompleting tasks as assigned Safe start up and shut down ofequipment in assigned area of responsibility Must demonstratewillingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills Communicatingwith team members and leadership to ensure consistent exchange ofinformation relative to position High School Diploma or GED Must be18 years of age or older Steady work history (working or attendingschool the past 2 years) Able and willing to work safely aroundmoving manufacturing equipment and machinery Must work a 12-hourrotating day-shift/night-shift to include nights, weekends, andholidays; with every other weekend off (Fri-Sun) Ability to performthe essential functions of the position, which includes climbingstairs, navigating catwalks, stooping, bending and exertion of morethan 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 50 poundsfrequently, and/or more than 20 pounds for up to an hour at a timeto move objects Eligible to work in the United States withoutsponsorship
