Description:
The purpose of this position is to perform equipment maintenance, repair, and improvement in support of efficient manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of production and service equipment and instrumentation
- Understand unique production equipment and their operational functions, including all servicing and preventative maintenance schedules
- Perform and maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance for all equipment
- Coordinate and interact with production personnel appropriately for all repair and preventative maintenance duties
- Schedule and conduct utilities and equipment support services preventative maintenance
- Keep detailed records and support documentation of equipment repair and parts change history
- Update and maintain schematics, graphics, and text documentation for all equipment
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience as a manufacturing Facilities Technician
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with optics manufacturing equipment preferred
- Ability to work with exposure to electrical and mechanical systems, dust, dirt, equipment oil, grease, and various operating materials
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma required
- Technical electronic maintenance training or trade schooling
- EPA Certification strongly preferred
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional communication
- Experience maintaining documentation and service records
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing
