Shift:

12hr (6am-630pm) 2-2-3 (2 on, 2 off, every other weekend) scheduleThis position will require working in variousControlled/Non-Classified areas. The Manufacturing Technician IIIperforms a variety of manufacturing tasks (operates equipment,performs in-process monitoring, line clearances, cosmeticinspection, cleaning and completes batch record entries) andsupports improvement activities (5S, participate in problem-solvingand Kaizen events, manual data collection) to achieve a prescribedlevel of purity, quality, and consistency in product and workoutput in accordance with cGMPs. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform theduties of operating assigned machinery consisting of servicingmachines with materials, monitoring equipment status,reintroduction of materials, manually palletizing finishedmaterials, and assuring a smooth flow of product.
  • Be able tostart-up machinery including equipment set-up, perform recipeselection and data entry on manufacturing computerized system(SCADA and HMI), make minor adjustments, and perform criticalsensor challenges.
  • Perform manual packaging tasks as requiredincluding hand packaging and rework of in-process and finishedmaterial.
  • Operate light material handling equipment (motorizedand manual pallet jacks, non-motorized lifts)as the need arises tosafely move, store or deliver material to the proper location.
  • Perform visual quality inspection and sampling of in-processmaterials. Promptly escalate concerns to Lead and ProcessFacilitator as needed.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting includingclearing minor jams and identifying equipment defects. Workcollaboratively with technical resources to resolve equipmentissues as needed.
  • Perform inventory control and reconciliationactivities, which may require the use of SAP and WES in a limitedrole.
  • Perform cleaning, housekeeping and line clearanceactivities for assigned areas to maintain a cGMP environment.

Thisincludes assembling, disassembling and sanitizing various packagingequipment. Perform batch record and GMP documentation entries.

Perform mathematical computation as needed.

  • Be familiar withjob-related safety procedures and hazards including PPEs,ergonomics, LOTO, human safety, material handling, chemicalhandling, and spill controls. Report all discrepancies to processfacilitator.
  • Perform work requirements in a responsible manner,in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and established safety and qualityprocedures.
  • Support lean activities and process improvement worksuch as performing 5S in the work area, participating inproblem-solving, and manual tracking of performance data for OEEand process improvement analysis.
  • Act as a certified OJT traineron the team on assigned equipment and process tasks. Train andconduct evaluations on other team members for trainingqualifications.
  • Review process documents such as operationalSOPs, forms, and batch records for accuracy. Identify and providesuggestions for process improvement while maintaining quality andcGMP compliance as opportunities arise.
  • Execute protocols asrequired as a part of equipment qualification and processvalidation work.
  • Be flexible and support other work areas withinthe Manufacturing Team as needed.
  • Perform all other assignedduties with minimal supervision under the direction of the processfacilitator or designee as needed.
Competencies & Job Requirements:
  • Acquire and maintain all required certifications andqualifications for the assigned work area.
  • Capable and motivatedto learn new skills and develop new capabilities on an on-goingbasis to contribute to the success of the Process Execution Team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Candidateshould possess the ability to work in and adapt to achanging/demanding environment.
  • Some overtime may be requiredwith minimal advance notice to support business needs. MinimumRequirements
  • Advanced experience in a pharmaceutical or cGMPregulated environment
  • Must have the ability to effectivelyunderstand, read, write, communicate and follow instructions in theEnglish language.
  • Good attention to detail is required.

Individual must be capable of keeping accurate records andperforming mathematical calculations. Preferred Background

  • Highschool graduate, vocational school graduate or equivalent
  • Workingknowledge of Microsoft applications and SAP
  • Prior productionexperience
  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment

Our target base pay hiring range forthis position is $24.00 – $36.50 per hour.
