A local production company is looking to add Packers to work thePacking lines! Press Operators for production. This is a full-time,temp-to-hire opportunity for someone looking to join a family andteam-oriented environment. In this production role, you will becompleting various duties such as boxing product, checking quality,weighing product, pulling product off the line, packaging and otherduties assigned by your supervisor. Training will be provided andthis company likes to promote employees who want growth! Supportthe production of safe, high quality products and team membersafety. Must have a completed High School Diploma, HSE or GED. Mustbe a minimum of 18 years of age. Must be able to stand and walk forextended amounts of time as well as maintain footing on concretefloors. Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 30-50 lbs. on aregular basis Must be able to follow verbal and written directionsComplies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all timesMust be reliable, dependable and be able to work in a teamenvironment Some positions will require working in an extremeenvironment of -20 degrees. Must know proper lifting and bendingtechniques. Possess good basic math skills. Responsible forfollowing all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP’s). The PressOperator is responsible for the overall efficient operation of thepress, which includes, but is not limited to: Monitoring productionprocess to assure quality product per customer specifications.
Complying with plant policies, safety and E.P.A. regulationsEnsuring productivity goals are met for department/machine bymonitoring run speeds, set up times and coordination of supportdepartments. Achieving or exceeding waste goals permachines/department through inspections, good procedure andaccurate reporting Cross-training will be done for ALL associatesCommunicating orally and/or in writing via e-mail to otherdepartments for resolution of mechanical problems, reportingdefective material, coordination of job preparations, change-oversand daily shift information.
