Manufacturing Technician Job Description The Process Associate III will collaborate with other production team members in an assigned production area, striving to meet production schedules while adhering to quality, cost, delivery, technical, and safety standards. This role involves hands-on tasks that are essential to the daily operations. Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly, potting, and soldering applications. Assemble products according to technical drawings and specifications. Conduct product testing using specialized equipment such as electronic volt meters, helium leak test equipment, and digital X-ray systems. Set up and program equipment like laser beam welders. Execute process procedures for cell manufacture and assembly. Operate specialized equipment including winders, wrappers, filling systems, X-ray, stackers, welders, activation systems, mixing, coating, calendaring, slitting, and blanking equipment. Perform product quality self-inspections. Maintain computer-generated documentation and records. Essential Skills US Citizen or Permanent Residency required. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work overtime or alternate work schedules as needed. Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure. Work effectively in a team with strong attention to detail. Excellent attendance and reliability record. Flexible and adaptable to change. Practice good housekeeping. Produce work efficiently with a quality-first mentality. Basic computer and math skills. Ability to use hand and power tools as well as fixtures and molds. Experience with repetitive work involving small parts under magnification. Handling delicate materials safely. Familiarity with blueprints and technical drawings. Strong mechanical and electrical skills. Ability to work safely with chemical compounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electromechanical experience on the assembly side. Ability to lift 50 lbs safely. Good dexterity of hands and hand-eye coordination. Ability to stand for extended periods. Capability to work in extremely dry environments for up to 12 hours while wearing clean-room gear. Why Work Here? It is a low-volume facility operating on a first shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The facility requires wearing clean-room attire, and the work involves handling delicate and sometimes hazardous materials, with a focus on safety and precision. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $22.00/hr.
