Your Key Responsibilities Complete 7,000 hoursbetween the College Program and on-the-job training (OJT) in ourmanufacturing facilities OJT is rotational and will include, butmay not be limited to: Work in manufacturing area to gain abilityto know/recognize parts to ensure product flow and organization;Assemble product using various types of assembly machinery, whichinvolves standing for long periods of time. Some machines involvesstanding on platform, three to four feet above the shop floor. Theapprentice will have to be capable of hand loading parts onto thebelts of the machines or be able to utilize lift assistance toraise containers. The apprentice will also hand assemble partswhile ensuring quality checks are adhered to the control;Stage/stack parts by hand or be able to operate overhead lifts tomove parts from the staging area to the loading areas for the heattreat furnace in such a way that there are not any unnecessary gapsor delays in production flow; Operate and control furnaces andauxiliary equipment; Operate stamping press, which involves usingan overhead lift to manipulate rolls of steel into the press;Inspect parts using gauges and lab equipment. Must also maintaininspection records; Conduct preventive and/or correctivemaintenance on manufacturing equipment; Deliver parts to requiredwork stations in a timely manner; requires lifting and operation ofhand truck/tugged; Upon completion of the program, graduatingapprentices will receive a Setup Operator Certificate from YourTechnical College and an Apprenticeship Certificate from USDOL.Your Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Successfulcompletion of the Compass Placement Test (required for schooladmission) Ability to move or lift 35 pounds Applicants must beauthorized to work in the US without employment VISA or othersponsorship Our Offering Salary range: $17.10 – $19.90 See all ourBenefits on: www.schaefflerbenefits.com
