Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring for Manufacturing Process engineer in Seneca, SC 29678 As a Manufacturing Process engineer you will be responsible for: Focused on shipping/packaging assembly, executionManufacturing, preferably packaging experience, SAP knowledge inside a manufacturing plantParticipate in the process and manufacturing teams to implement the Primary Packaging Roadmap dictated by the PP/PS Sustainability Team.
Conduct research and studies on which sustainable packaging products are best suited for implementation at the local site, including coordinating formalized testing at laboratories.
Coordinate with manufacturing, process, Company, procurement etc. on implementing new sustainable materials.
Lead local team to ensure all aspects of project have been implemented.
Physically assist with label changes, warehouse changes, workstation modifications, bin changes, etc. as needed per projectResearch and procure new fixtures, tools, bins, workstations, etc. as needed per projectConduct 3F and assist with FAIR reportingProvide hyper care for new sustainable materials that have been implemented and continuously resolve issues with new implementations.
Assist with reporting to PP/PS Sustainability team on project updates and completions.
Conduct financial impacts per project, including cost analysis, cycle time analysis, etc.
Assist with any XFMEA analysis that is required for each implementation.
Assist with work instruction modifications.
Document the technical and generic specifications of the packaging process including line layouts, station layouts, capacity and workload balancing, preferred component usage, etc.
Ensure assembly process deliverables are aligned with global assembly process practicesCoordinate and assist with equipment installations and validations, if required.
Obtain plant acceptance and provide the final sign-off on tool and process for project deliverables while following the principles of company Performance System (SPS) Experience required 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineeringExperience with component replenishment / kanban / related material handling tasksExperience in a new product development environment or related stage gate process awarenessKnowledge of verification and validation process / approvals process for new product developmentProven ability to work successfully in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions (design engineering, purchasing, quality, marketing, finance, mfg. operations and others)Motivated self-starter, who able to work autonomously in parallel on multiple projectsFacilitator to drive problem solving and project management activitiessome travel between the NC and SC onsite plants.
Preferred:
5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering5+ years of experience in packaging / shipping processes and related equipment.
Experience in SAP production software
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
