Position Summary:
The E-Coating Technician will monitor the paint process to ensure that the e-coat operation maintains the correct levels of chemicals for quality parts. This position is also responsible to work with maintenance to ensure all water treatment and flood defense structures such as pump systems and pipe networks. managing and maintaining water and sewerage infrastructure operations. This position will be responsible for daily operations and technical information to the Operations Supervisor. This position must ensure compliance to all Federal, State and local laws and regulations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Stand and/or walk up to eight (8) hours per day.
- Frequently lift and push/pull up to 35 pounds – occasionally above shoulders. Occasionally lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds – using Team Lift as needed.
- Monitor chemicals and mixture in e-coat process.
- Be proficient in various spraying techniques of spraying plastic powder, and be familiar with the characteristics of various plastic powders.
- Analyze and resolve any issues with e-coat and wastewater processes.
- Perform quality assurance tests
- Support policies, procedures and initiatives in support of business objectives.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Required Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of e-coating and wastewater treatment experience.
- Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Strong problem-solving mentality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent math skills.
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and reliable team member.
- Self-starting with solid follow-through and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
