Must be well versed to operate any and all machinery.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Summary:
Operate single step machine operation (i.e. capper, tube prep, shrink, box, etc.) or equipment to meet or exceed performance expectations, optimize machine up-time, demonstrate safe work practices, follow all Schwan Cosmetics, USA policies and procedures. Set up, perform changeovers, line clearance, material movement, and operate various single operator/single step machinery/ equipment including, but not limited to capper, tube prep, shrink, box equipment to optimize machine uptime and efficient operation. Rotate between various machines to ensure efficiency of operations. Perform quality checks, make adjustments as needed, identify machine/line problems and provide recommended solutions for consideration. Complete administrative duties as directed to ensure proper communication and detailed information on quality, safety, production, etc. Locate raw materials prescribed for each order to optimize efficient operation and relieve & control inventory flow. Engage in housekeeping, safety, and continuous improvement projects. Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience. Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, whole numbers. Ability to read micrometers and rulers. Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English.
Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with demonstrated performance to standards or equivalent education and experience.
