Amphibious Warship Design Auxiliary Systems Suppor Position Available In Jackson, Mississippi

This is a Amphibious Warship Design Auxiliary Systems Support position located in Pascagoula, MS.OverviewR&P is looking for an entry level Marine or Ocean Engineer who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an Auxiliary Systems Support Engineer ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. Specific focus areas of proficiency are Environmental Protection and Habitability systems. Previous HM&E, Merchant Marine, or Navy experience is highly desirable. This position is for Pascagoula, MS, but is eligible for remote/alternative work locations.

ResponsibilitiesReviews Auxiliary Systems CDRL’s for technical accuracy against ship specifications and sub tier references. Supports Ship Design Manager (SDM) on various Auxiliary Tecnical areas. Review/revise requirements for, and design of, fluid systems, hydraulic systems, steering systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration plants, and other auxiliary equipment.

Review designs of selected auxiliary systems that might include the necessary calculations, studies, and analyses to support the designs.

Provide technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing for mechanical, electrical, or weapon system components or equipment.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marine or Ocean Engineering. Former Navy enlisted personnel with at least 3-years of experience would meet the requirements for this positions. Must have experience with applicable codes and standards such as ABS NVR, OSHA, and NFPA. Experiences with ship Habitability or Environmental protection systems is preferred.

Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
