Irving group of companies Relocation costs (if applicable) Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Engineering Technical Leader’s role is providing subject matter expertise for Tissue Manufacturing and Environmental compliance. The position will work with the Tissue Manufacturing teams by providing effective process engineering resources, systems and support in a timely manner to help the Organization achieve the business goals across Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery. Provide technical support and leadership to ensure the site environmental standards are met and compliance requirements are completed Provide technical support and leadership for Tissue Manufacturing technology by providing technical coaching and guidance for department technical resources (process engineers, process technicians, and operators) Provide technical support and leadership for Tissue Manufacturing technology by developing and driving a long-term improvement strategy Provide technical support and leadership for Tissue Manufacturing technology by participating in problem solving sessions for productivity or quality misses and/or gaps. Be the custodian and driver of methodical problem solving

  • providing skills, coaching and discipline to make sure that the appropriate level of rigor is applied to the problem solving process.

In conjunction with production resources, provide process standardization (including SPC, centerlines) Monitoring of allocated resources and cost control for projects and ongoing day-to-day activities, measuring and improving department efficiency, while providing effective and timely support to production

Education:

Post-secondary education (Engineering, Manufacturing or related technical field) Required Experience At least 10 years in a Tissue Manufacturing Process Engineering role Experience in a manufacturing environment including involvement in business improvement projects and techniques Project management skills coupled with the ability to deliver tangible business level results Excellent verbal and written communication skills At Irving Tissue , we know the key to success is our people.
