Job Description
Key Responsibilities Supplier Sourcing & Qualification Identify and qualify world-class suppliers for plastic, stamping, die-casting, CNC, and mechanical assemblies.
Conduct technical due diligence:
capacity, process flow, facility audit, material traceability, tooling capability. Technical Process Understanding Serve as the internal expert on injection molding, overmolding, secondary processes (spray painting, ultrasonic welding), progressive stamping, aluminum die-casting, and CNC finishing. Partner with engineering teams to influence design for manufacturability (DFM) and validate supplier process routes. Cost Insight & Business Negotiation Lead early-stage RFQ, benchmark analysis, cost breakdown discussions with suppliers. Negotiate commercial terms (price, tooling, NRE, lead time, payment, warranty) with deep cost structure understanding. Project Support for New Product Development (NPD) Align suppliers with development timelines and technical milestones. Monitor tool development, capacity ramp-up, and mass production readiness from sourcing side. Category Strategy & Risk Management Establish and optimize regional/global sourcing strategy. Evaluate alternative technologies and suppliers for risk mitigation, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
