We are currently seeking a Welding Technician to join our team at or Plympton Manufacturing facility. This role plays a vital part in the manufacturing process by performing high-quality welding and fabrication work to meet product specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Interpretation:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to prepare for welding tasks.

Surface Preparation:

Clean and prepare metal surfaces to ensure proper weld adhesion.

Welding Operations:

Operate welding equipment using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques to join metal components as specified.

Fabrication:

Perform metal fabrication and assembly in alignment with project requirements.

Quality Inspection:

Inspect completed welds to identify defects and verify compliance with quality standards.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain welding tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all workplace safety standards and procedures when operating welding equipment.

Technical Support:

Collaborate with engineers by providing hands-on technical support during fabrication and production processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

3-5 years of welding and manufacturing experience required. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of machinery and tools. High attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision. Effective problem-solving skills in welding and fabrication contexts. Solid knowledge of metal types, properties, and behaviors during welding. Thorough understanding of welding safety protocols and industry regulations. Compensation The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This hourly rate is $34-38.
