Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Weld Engineer to develop, implement, and improve welding processes in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding engineering, materials science, and quality assurance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality welds in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize welding procedures, techniques, and equipment to support production and ensure compliance with specifications and codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO). Perform weld testing and inspections using non-destructive and destructive testing methods. Prepare and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT). Provide technical guidance and training to welders and production staff. Troubleshoot welding-related issues in production and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure weld integrity and performance. Ensure all welding activities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate new welding technologies, equipment, and automation for potential implementation. Maintain documentation for traceability and compliance audits. Assist in onsite weld training programs

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) or similar credentials CWI (preferred). 3+ years of experience in welding engineering or a related manufacturing/engineering field. Knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS

D1.1, ASME

Section IX). Proficient in CAD software and welding simulation tools is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Work Environment:
