The Engineering Manager leads and oversees all engineeringactivities and projects within the organization. This role ensuresthat engineering initiatives align with company policies andstrategic objectives while implementing best practice engineeringmethodologies. The Manager provides expert technical guidance,integrates cost-effective materials and tools, and manages overallengineering budgets to deliver high-quality and efficient results.

Their facility is equipped with advanced machinery andsupports multiple secondary processes, including toolingcapabilities. They are recognized for their technical expertise andcommitment to delivering reliable, high-quality products with astrong focus on customer satisfaction.

DescriptionResponsibilities:

Optimize processes, employee training, andimplement continuous improvement opportunities. Lead ongoingimprovements in equipment, materials, processes, tooling, andautomation. Manage and direct the Engineering Team’s dailyactivities. Identify and execute cost reduction strategies.

Collaborate with management, production, and sales to defineproject requirements. Research market technology trends andorganizational resources to plan feasible projects. Overseeinstallation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair offacilities and equipment. Review and approve product designchanges. Establish scientific and technical goals for theengineering department. Develop and enforce policies, standards,and procedures for engineering work.

Profile Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering or related field. Minimumfive years of hands-on experience in injection molding.

Understanding or willingness to learn automotive quality standards,including PFMEA and APQP. Proven ability to manage projects frominception to production. Knowledge of measuring instruments andexperience programming CMMs and vision systems. Strongunderstanding of plastic molded part defects and root causes.

Proficiency in GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings.

Familiarity with APQP and PPAP requirements. Competent in MicrosoftOffice applications (Excel, Word, Access).
