The Plastics Engineer will apply expertise in Scientific Moldingand process validation to optimize injection molding processes.
They’ll work with automotive standards, automation, and qualitysystems while managing projects from concept to production.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, and experiencewith RJG systems and secondary operations is a plus, along with astrong willingness to learn. Client Details My client is acertified manufacturer specializing in precision molding andassembly services across diverse industries. Their facilityfeatures state-of-the-art equipment and offers a range of secondaryprocesses, including tooling. Description Responsibilities:
Oversee the processing, validation,and documentation of new products, molds, processes, or equipment.
Support the quoting process for tools and parts. Provide trainingto Process Technicians on troubleshooting and resolving processingissues. Continuously optimize manufacturing processes to improveefficiency and quality. Drive ongoing process improvements throughenhancements in materials, tooling, processes, and automation.
Assist with daily production activities and troubleshoot existingmanufacturing processes. Identify and implement opportunities toreduce costs without compromising quality. Design and executeDesign of Experiments (DOE) as necessary. Liaise with customers andsuppliers to ensure alignment and resolve technical matters.
Promote and maintain a safe working environment across theorganization.
Profile Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree inPlastics Engineering or related field Proficient in ScientificMolding techniques Experienced with process validation following
IQ/OQ/PQ
protocols Knowledge of, or eagerness to learn, automotivestandards such as PPAP, PFMEA, and APQP Familiarity with injectionmolding automation systems Understanding of Quality and SPCmethodologies and compliance requirements Strong project managementskills, from concept through production Ability to collaborateeffectively with team members and stakeholders Experience with RJGsystems is advantageous Knowledge of secondary manufacturingprocesses like welding, decorating, and machining
