Welding Technology Instructor – Dual Enrollment – 10 Month Contract Tennessee College of Applied Technology 740 Hi Tech Drive, Livingston, TN 38570 POSITION
ANNOUNCEMENT WELDING TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Livingston is accepting résumés and applications for Welding Technology Instructor for dual enrollment classes at Clay County High School (10-month Contract Position)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required; Post-secondary diploma or A.A.S. in Welding Technology or related field with AWS, CWE, CWI and NCCER certifications preferred. Have a minimum of three (3) years successful work experience in welding and/or related fields. Teaching and robotic weld station programming experience preferred. Ability to properly instruct students on gas metal arc (MIG), tungsten inert gas (TIG), shielded metal arc (STICK), inner shield welding, flux core welding, flame cutting, and soldering. Must be able to provide related instruction in metallurgy; blueprint reading; welding symbols; fitting and fabrication. Ability to interact with high school students. Be willing to maintain personal, state-of-the-art credentialing and certification in applicable emerging technology. Evidence of ability to plan, organize and manage diversified tasks. Must possess good oral and written communication skills; must have good organizational and planning skills. Be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff and public.
