Piping Designer Genesis Technical Staffing, Inc. Mobile, AL 36685 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems that meet project specifications and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, as well as proficiency in various design software. The Piping Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to completion. Entry level Piping Designer 1-2 years •Qualifications High School diploma and a relevant degree in Piping Design and Drafting Knowledge in the use of ACAD 2D and 3D software for creating Engineering drawings Understanding of Drafting CAD standards, Paper/Model Space, and Plotting/Publishing Good problem-solving skills Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience in the Petrochemical and Oil/Gas Industry (e.g., construction, maintenance) Responsibilities As a Junior Piping Designer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and designers to create plant layout and piping designs that meet industry standards and client specifications In this position, you will be responsible for creating various types of piping drawings that will be compiled into an error-free design package using ACAD software You will prepare piping and layout project deliverables, ensuring that all designs are accurate and adhere to the latest CAD standards Additionally, you will have the opportunity to expand and maintain your knowledge of the latest CAD software, which is crucial for your professional development in this field This role may also require you to perform on-site field work, where you will create field sketches under the direction of a senior designer Your ability to adapt and learn quickly will be essential as you contribute to the success of our projects Provide Piping Design support for Plants and Facilities Create various types of Piping drawings using ACAD software Prepare Piping and Layout project deliverables Expand and maintain knowledge of the latest CAD software Prepare revisions to technical drawings to reflect engineering mark-ups or as-built conditions as directed by Senior Designers Conduct on-site field work and create field sketches under the direction of a Designer If you are passionate about innovative design solutions and eager to contribute to exciting projects, we encourage you to apply for this position.
