Position Overview:

Mechanical Designer II creates and develops3D solid models and 2D detailed drawings and assembly drawings of mechanical and electromechanical parts and assemblies to support design engineering and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities & Tasks Create and develop 3D solid models and 2D detailed drawings and assembly drawings of mechanical and electromechanical parts and assemblies for new and existing products and components from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images using SolidWorks CAD design tools/software and applicable standards. Create, process, and/or check Engineering Change Notices prepared by others for accuracy of detail and check for fit, form, and function, utilizing engineering principles and CAD software, design methods, and manufacturing processes. 3D design work, ability to execute minimally to moderately complex design projects. Work closely with and take work direction from mechanical engineers and designers. All other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Associate degree in Mechanical Design or related field with certified SoildWorks Professional (CSWP) certification. A minimum of 2 years’ experience with creating engineering drawings and CAD models. Must be highly skilled and proficient using SolidWorks software with PDMWorks Workgroup and/or PDMWorks Enterprise. Have strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpret applicable documents and customer specifications. Experience with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Agile PLM is a plus. U.S. Citizenship is required.
