Awnex, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of bolt-on architectural metal systems used by national retail brands across the U.S. We’re hiring a Production Drafter to support the design and production of awnings, canopies, and metal systems. We’re looking for someone with solid drafting skills , and we will consider entry-level candidates with a strong foundation in AutoCAD and a passion for precision.

Responsibilities:

Create detailed 2D architectural drawings using AutoCAD for awning manufacturing projects. Produce shop drawings and installation instructions based on architectural plans. Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) with material specifications and part numbers. Collaborate with project managers , production staff, and customers to ensure designs meet expectations. Maintain consistency across drawings by following company CAD standards . Review and update standard part drawings to support repeatable manufacturing processes. Store project files in organized, job-specific folders in the drawing database.

Qualifications:

1+ years of drafting experience preferred (AutoCAD-focused). Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with SolidWorks or Fusion 360 is a plus. Ability to read architectural blueprints and technical drawings. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Solid organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
