You’ll play a key role in designing and updating plans for sidewalk sheds, supported scaffolds, needle beams, hoists , and site safety layouts . This position is ideal for someone familiar with NYC construction standards and looking to grow into a leadership role. Knowledge of Chapter 33 of the NYC DOB Code is a big plus. What You’ll Do Create and review drawings to meet DOB and job-specific requirements Visit sites to gather measurements and understand field conditions Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders Update and finalize as-built drawings as projects progress Communicate effectively with clients and provide project updates What We’re Looking For Hands-on experience with sidewalk sheds, scaffolding, needle beams, and safety plans At least 3 years of experience with 2D drafting using AutoCAD Familiarity with NYC DOB Code, especially Chapter 33 Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Organized, efficient, and detail-focused Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is helpful but not required What We Offer Competitive pay: $65,000 – $85,000 per year 401(k) plan with employer match Paid vacation and holidays Friendly, team-oriented work environment Clear career path with potential to move into a Project Manager role If you’re ready to take your drafting career to the next level in a supportive, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
