Job Description
Education:
BS Degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Months/Years of Experience:
Three (3) years experience dealing with the concept design and engineering, and test and evaluation of weapon systems components, subsystems, and systems. Navy and/orMarine Corps related experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen. Security Clearance Required.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiar with Hypersonics Integration, Testing, and test set-ups.
There is often instrumentation fixture design and fabrication that comes with HIT facility tests.
A Mechanical Engineering/Design background is desired.
A basic understanding of electromagnetics is a plus.
The ability to learn quickly and interest in railgun technology is preferred.
Skills Needed:
Knowledge and comfort working with electronics.
Duties:
This Test Engineer will become part of the Hypersonics Integration and Test (HIT) Facility TE Team.
Travel less than 25% of time.
