Job Description:
- The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products from concept to completion
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support Technical Data Package development
- Perform calculations and simulations to validate designs, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and reliability standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers
- Conduct testing and analysis of prototypes, recommending improvements and modifications as needed
- Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure accurate translation of designs into production
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in existing products or systems,
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions,
- Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to the company’s AS9100 and quality policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively working towards licensure,
- Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing,
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing,
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Masters degree is preferred.

Substitutions:
- 5 years’ experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA,
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems,
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is preferred,
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail,
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Secret security clearance is required.
