Bachelors degree + a minimum of 10 years of relevant test and evaluation experience (with 5 years experience in weapon system qualification testing – can be part of 10 years above); or an Associates degree with a minimum of twelve years of relevant experience. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active security clearance. Ability to obtain unescorted access to Redstone Arsenal; special permits, certifications and government authorizations required by ASRIs contracts with the government. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis and the ability to climb onto and around large air vehicles and ground vehicles.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and
MIL-STD-464
); available to travel up to 40%. Redstone Test Center or other lab experience.

Duties:
Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army weapons systems (missile). Will lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing. Test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, Human Factors. Includes on-site TDY testing support, completing training to operate weapon system equipment at test facility and performing Unit Under Test functional checks.
Ensure execution of test schedule by collaborating with test facility staff and daily status reporting to US Government Program Office leadership.
Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and
MIL-STD-464
) Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system’s features. Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle. Again, this position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems. You will work directly with the Army Program Office and other Army organizations to build requirements, test, and qualify weapons systems; other tasks related to fielding to operational units.
