1 Huntsville, AL Overview Join Sev1Tech in a pivotal role contributing to NASA’s mission of returning humans to the Moon. As a Senior Lead Thermal Engineer, you’ll lead the design, analysis, and testing of Active Thermal Control Systems (ATCS) for the Human Landing System (HLS), ensuring the safety and success of lunar missions. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects, collaborate with top-tier professionals, and make a tangible impact on space exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and analysis of aerospace Active Thermal Control Systems (ATCS). Develop and execute thermal test setups, providing hands-on support and troubleshooting. Produce independent analytical assessments, detailed reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Collaborate with vendors and NASA personnel to align thermal system requirements and solutions. Utilize Thermal Desktop and

SINDA/FLUINT

for thermal modeling and simulations. Apply deep understanding of orbital thermal environments to system development. Ensure compliance with NASA standards and MSFC specifications. Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited university (required). Ph.D. with a minimum of 14 years, Master’s with at least 18 years, or Bachelor’s with at least 20 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in aerospace ATCS design and analysis. HVAC experience, preferably in aerospace applications. Proficiency in thermal test setup support and execution. Expertise in Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT or equivalent tools. Comprehensive knowledge of orbital thermal environment development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with NASA standards and MSFC specifications. Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams.
